RANGERS will officially release their new home kit for the season ahead tomorrow.
But fans reckon the strip has already leaked – a day before the official unveiling.
Rangers have teased the new home kit which will be released tomorrow[/caption]The Light Blues sent out an email to MyGers members announcing that the kit would be released and ready to purchase from Wednesday, 7th June, confirming the same information on Twitter shortly after.
With the tagline ‘Revolution Ready,’ the Gers teased the new blue threads in an extreme close-up image.
However – fans reckon they already know what to expect after a bold kit design ‘leaked’ on Twitter.
An image of someone holding a top aloft first did the rounds on social media, which was soon followed by a closer, better quality snap of what appears to be the same shirt.
As well as the Rangers badge and the Castore logo, it also features Unibet as the main shirt sponsor for the first time.
The collar contains both red, white and blue but the most striking feature is the obvious striped pattern throughout the shirt, with thin lines of two shades of blue going up and down the top.
Now – we don’t know if this will indeed be the new official shirt or not, but many fans reckon that it is.
And it’s fair to say the design has divided fan opinion.
One fan said: “If that’s the new top, underwhelmed to be honest. Unimaginative.”
Similarly, another added: “Not keen on it.”
A third noted: “It’s a bit boring.”
However, not all of the comments were negative and many quickly warmed to the idea of this being the new kit.
One fan, keen to wait and see the finished article, said: “It’s a rubbish picture. It’ll look good on the players.”
Another said: “I like it more than the other Castore tops to date. It looks good.”
Others were still left unconvinced that this would be the official kit when it’s released tomorrow.
Many pointed to how different the close-up pic posted by Rangers looks compared to the supposedly leaked images.
Although a couple of fans did point out their belief that they could see the pinstripe design in the official picture posted by the Gers too.
We’ll all find out tomorrow!
