DEVASTATING news struck the world yesterday as it was revealed that legendary singer Tina Turner had passed away at the age of 83.

The Best, which was a huge anthem from her multi-platinum album Foreign Affair in 1989, is sang at every Rangers home game at Ibrox and has been for years.
It’s still as prominent at the iconic Light Blues’ venue today, and singing along to the song over the tannoys before each game is a big part of the match-day experience.
And former Rangers striker Shota Arveladze, who spent four years at the club between 2001 and 2005 has paid tribute to Turner following her death and insists the legendary song and Ibrox are “inseparable.”
He tweeted: “Your greatest songs made our victories even more beautiful and memorable. Ibrox and The Best are inseparable, and it’s impossible to leave the stadium without being moved by this song.
“Thanks for the fantastic legacy and for great memories. Rest In Peace @tinaturner.”
Jermain Defoe took to social media to post his own tribute to the Rock n Roll legend.
The English striker has admitted that he always wanted to meet the music icon and has sent his condolences to her family and friends.
He said: “The very best.. For everyone that knows me, you know I love Tina Turner. I’ve always said, if there were 3 people who I could have a meal with, it would have been her.
“Devastated to hear of her passing today. Thoughts are with her family and loved ones.”
