Alan Hutton has suggested Motherwell were unlucky to be reduced to ten men against Rangers on Saturday (18 March).
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gers defender said that if referee Nick Walsh had been given the chance to look at the incident again, he may not have given Callum Slattery a second yellow card.
Although VAR officials can assist referees in overturning straight red cards, they do not get involved in red cards as a result of a second booking unless the VAR official believes the second booking should be upgraded to a red card.
