Ally McCoist has admitted that he is not looking forward to the SPFL clash between Rangers and Dundee on Wednesday night (17 April).
The Gers will travel to Dens Park for a third time for a game that has been postponed twice due to a waterlogged pitch in recent weeks, looking to get back to winning ways after a dramatic 3-3 draw with Celtic was followed up by shock 3-2 defeat to Ross County on Sunday (14 April).
The official Rangers Twitter account asked fans where they would be watching the game from as part of the build-up to their coverage, but the club’s all-time top scorer added to the insecurity among supporters with his response on his own personal Twitter account (17 April).
“Behind the sofa!” he wrote in a witty response.
Rangers have a big point to prove vs Dundee
When this game was supposed to be played a week ago at Dens Park, most people believed that Rangers were still in the driver’s seat when it came to the SPFL title race.
But after defeat at Ibrox in the most recent outing against Ross County, Philippe Clement and the Rangers fans will be looking to prove that they are still title contenders and they still have some things to put right.
The mood around the club after recent results has changed dramatically, and it’s the first time since Clement came into the club that there has been a real dip in morale.
McCoist is always known to be quite balanced when it comes to his feelings on the club and the current situations have been no different, and his response to this simple tweet reflects well what the feeling among fans is.
The fans will stay behind the team and the manager, but they now need to start beating these teams and getting back to winning ways to bring the feeling back up.
In other Rangers news, one Sky Sports pundit was left stunned by a fan calling for Jack Butland to be sold.
